You want to be able to bet whatever sports around and in any way possible. That’s your right as a sports bettor. Along with basic wagers such as spreads, lines and over/unders, you want to be able to play props, parlays and much more.

Ease in Making Bets

Although the sportsbook will need to verify who you are and make sure you aren’t a scam artist or grfiter, they should not make you feel like a scam artist or grifter. The fact is that you can take your cash somewhere else and if a sportsbook is making you feel like a criminal then go to a place where you feel welcome.

We’re not talking the sky here, but some sportsbooks will post very low limits like $50 or $80 per bet. That says something about the quality of the book and their commitment to gaming. Stroll out of that parlor and find a better place to make your wagers.

The sportsbook should make you feel at home. Once again, it’s to their advantage to do so. If you feel welcome, you’re going to want to stay and if you stay chances are you’ll place more bets.

Free Drinks and Reasonably Priced Food

Many of the better betting rooms offer free drinks or free drink tickets and often include a buffet that is hearty and value priced. A good sportsbook is making cash on the commissions they charge and not on food and drinks. The stuff you put in your mouth are incentives to keep you there. You’re in a sportsbook not a restaurant.

Honoring Wagers

If you go to make a wager and the sportsbook turns it away without a good reason or if later on they claim it was not a viable wager, then you’re not in a quality place. This may sound outlandish but it does happen. Do not patronize a place that won’t honor bets.
